I have wood shingled roof that leaks from some places, my question is that how do I stop that, should I replace the faulty shingles or just place plastic on the wet patches. The reason I ask is that I anyway intend to redo the roof, am looking for a good temporary solution. Also when I redo my roof, is it okay to place shakes over the shingles or do I need to remove shingles first.
